Help us support Manchester Mind!

Our employees have selected Manchester Mind as our chosen charity for 2016.

Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem.

Manchester Mind is an independent local mental health charity. Their vision is of a city that promotes good mental health and treats people with mental health problems positively, fairly and with respect.

They have several projects including a social enterprise called Good Mood Food, a catering company which provides buffets and catering services across Manchester. This also helps to fund vital services for those with mental health problems. They use all of their profits to promote positive mental health, teach new skills and provide volunteering placements.

What we’ll do to help

We think mental health is really important. During Mental Health Awareness Week in May, we asked all our colleagues how they look after their mental health. We’re talking about it more, trying to break down that stigma that means people feel embarrassed or ashamed.

We have regular dress-down days, where employees can wear what they want for a small donation. We’ll also be meeting the fundraisers from Manchester Mind to see how else we can help.

We’ve raised over £1,000 this year

The Greater Manchester Women’s Domestic Abuse Helpline was our chosen charity in 2015 and so far we’ve raised more than £1,000 for them.
