We’re making great progress…
Our new development of Council homes on Silk Street, Newton Heath is complete with the first residents settling in and building their new community.
It’s exciting to see people moving into brand new properties, but we also have ambitious plans for the care and maintenance of the rest of the Council’s homes.
We will shortly launch our Stock Condition Project which will help us to understand what work needs to be done on all properties now and in the future. Our aim is to complete full surveys on 90% of homes by the end of 2026.
In the meantime, we continue with our improvement works across our estates. Our decent homes work continues with hundreds of homes upgraded to include new kitchens, bathrooms, doors, rewiring and enhanced building safety work.
