This week is Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) awareness week.

We wanted to take this opportunity to remind residents about what we can do to help if you’re a victim of ASB. It all starts with telling us about it. You can report ASB to us through our website.

What we can do

We have a range of tools available to us to tackle ASB and will work with you to find a resolution. This can include using our expert mediation service to find a solution to problems and neighbour disputes.

The sorts of things we deal with

In the past year, 255 cases of ASB were reported to us. Almost a quarter of these complaints related to noise nuisance. This was followed by criminal behaviour, which can range from drug use to gang activity.

Sadly, we also had 11 reports of hate crime. We have a zero-tolerance approach to ASB and we work hard with residents to gather the evidence needed to take legal action against those causing misery in our communities.

We want to hear from you

Our communities should be welcoming, safe, vibrant spaces for residents to enjoy. This year, we’re working on a new ASB policy and we want to hear from you. To get involved, please join us at one or our family events over July and August where you can have your say about how we will tackle ASB:
