Manchester City Council has asked independent consultants to carry out a review of Northwards’ services.
They will look at how we manage council homes in north Manchester, consulting tenants and staff to get their views.
The council is considering bringing the housing management service in-house, and the consultants will present their report in September 2020.
In the meantime, we fully support the review and will continue to provide our services to customers.
Sue Abbott, Chair of the Northwards Board, said: “Here at Northwards, we are proud of what we have achieved over the last 14 years. Our dedicated and hardworking staff will continue to work tirelessly in the best interests of tenants, which is something I can say as a council tenant of many years’ standing.
"We recognise that the council needs to periodically review how best to manage and repair council-owned homes, and we will fully participate in the review to ensure that tenants’ voices are clearly heard.”
