Shared ownership

Have you dreamt of owning your own home, but can't afford to buy on the open market? 'Shared ownership' might be right up your street.

A not-for-profit company called Plumlife specialises in shared and low cost home ownership in our area. They can help people who haven't got a high income onto the housing ladder

You can buy a home for between 25 and 75 per cent of its market value. Plumlife own the rest of the property and charge you rent for that portion. This works out cheaper than buying 100 per cent at once, and you can buy more of your home later when you can afford it.

You can start your registration on the Plumlife website. There are currently shared-ownership opportunities in New Islington, Collyhurst, Beswick and other local areas. Choose from a range of houses and apartments.
