Register for rehousing

Join the Register

Start your registration online on the Homefinder website. Homefinder advertises available homes run by Northwards, and the other landlords in the Manchester Housing Register.

This is the quickest way to get things started.

The form asks about your housing situation, the people moving with you, where you want to live, what sort of home you want and so on.

The more areas you say you’ll consider, the more chance you have of getting a home (see our rehousing area guides). And try to consider different property types – have you thought about high-rise living for instance?

Other ways to apply

If you don’t want to use the internet, get a paper form and application pack. This may take a bit longer. Where to get the form depends on where you live:

  • if you already live in a Northwards home – as the tenant, a member of the family, or a lodger – contact us
  • if you live in a home run by any other landlord in the Manchester Housing Register, contact your landlord
  • if you live in the area covered by Manchester City Council, but not in a home run by a landlord in the Manchester Housing Register, contact Manchester City Council on 03000 11 22 11 and press '2'
  • if you live outside the area covered by Manchester City Council, contact Manchester City Council on 0333 900 9032
