Retirement housing

How to get retirement housing

We can tell you what's available, and what to do to get a home: phone us on 0161 720 5802.

Or read on to get things moving yourself . . .

Register for rehousing

You need to be registered for rehousing to get a retirement home.

If you are not registered go to the Homefinder website to start your registration online. Or contact us for an application form.

The form (which describes retirement housing as 'sheltered accommodation') asks which areas you're interested in, and whether you want to consider rehousing with other not-for-profit landlords across Manchester, or just Northwards homes. It's your choice!

Already registered?

If you are already registered rehousing, but didn't originally say you wanted sheltered housing, you can ask us to change your application - you don't need to fill out the whole form again.

Finding a home

Once you're registered, we will look for retirement homes for you in the area you want. But you can look yourself too by checking on the Homefinder website, or in 'Homefinder Weekly' - the printed listing of available homes. Some homes are 'first-come-first-served' - so you may be able to move in almost straight away!
