Rehousing area guide:
SMITHFIELD (city centre)

Welcome to Smithfield

property in Smithfield

Smithfield is a small city centre estate of fewer than 60 homes. There are one-bedroom flats, and three-bedroom maisonettes. Smithfield is just off Tib Street near its junction with Swan Street in the heart of the Northern Quarter, an area that has been radically transformed with new bars, restaurants, entertainment and high-quality city-centre homes. It's a vibrant and diverse area with interesting and unusual shops, and a cosmopolitan and creative atmosphere.

It's just a couple of minutes walk to the main departments stores, transport links, commerce, employment, transport and entertainment in the heart of Manchester. There is a mixture of housing in the Northern Quarter- from high value owner occupation to affordable rented accommodation with the council or housing associations. The city centre is becoming a more and more popular place to live, as older buildings are converted to residential use, and new developments are built.
