Register for rehousing

After you register

What happens after you send your registration form depends on your circumstances:

A) If you, or anyone moving with you, is a Northwards tenant: (This covers the tenant(s) only - not other people living in the home.)

We'll visit you at home to confirm the information you've given, and to make sure your home and garden (if you have one) is in a fit condition to rent out to new tenants.

When we've checked everything, we'll send you a letter confirming what you've asked for, telling you which rehousing band you're in, and your rehousing application number. If there are no problems or queries with your application, you can now look for a home advertised on Homefinder. If there is a problem, or we need more information, we will contact you.

B) If you, or anyone moving with you, is a tenant of Manchester City Council, Parkway Green Housing Trust, Southway Housing Trust or City South Manchester Housing Trust:

The landlord will follow the same procedure as us - see A above.

C) If you are not in A or B above:

A Manchester Housing Register landlord will send you a letter asking you to confirm the information you've given.

When the landlord has checked everything they'll send you a letter confirming what you've asked for, telling you which rehousing band you're in, and your rehousing application number. If there are no problems or queries with your application, you can now look for a Northwards home and for other homes advertised on Homefinder. If there is a problem, or we need more information, we will contact you.
