Before work starts

We want to give an excellent service when we make improvements to your home.

We will visit your home to decide what work needs doing; we'll contact you to make an appointment.

Before we start work we will . . .

  • tell you what we plan to do, as soon as we know
  • publish a list of planned improvements across the Northwards area on this website
  • explain what the work involves in detail
  • give you two weeks' notice of the planned start-date, and confirm the date and time three days before
  • let you know as soon as we can if we have to change the start-date
  • arrange the work as much as possible to avoid disruption and you having to take time off work
  • give you the details of the 'project officer' (the Northwards staff-member managing the improvements), and the 'contractor' (the firm that is doing the work), together with an out-of-hours contact

Wherever possible, you choose the style of of things like kitchen cabinets, worktops, tiles, bath panels, wallpaper and so on. See the improvements, the choices.
