The improvements, the choices

Heating upgrade

If your gas central heating boiler is nearing the end of its expected life, and replacement parts are hard to get, we'll install a new one when we fit your new bathroom or kitchen.

And, depending on the condition of your existing heating system, we may also:

  • make other improvements such as fitting a new timer and thermostatic radiator valves; or
  • replace the back boiler (behind the gas fire) and install a new fire; or
  • replace the whole heating system if the pipes and radiators are in a poor state.

Central heating boiler
We can fit two types of modern, highly-efficient gas central heating boilers:

  • a traditional-style 'condensing' boiler with a hot water tank; or
  • a 'combi' boiler with instant hot water

The boiler you get depends on the amount of work we have to do:

  • if we're simply replacing a boiler because new parts are hard to get, we'll install a condensing boiler as there's less disruption for you
  • if we're replacing a back boiler we have to do additional work anyway, so you'll get a combi boiler
  • if you need a completely new heating system we'll fit a condensing boiler as standard

Your choice
If there's more than one place for a new a boiler, you can choose where it goes. And if we're putting in a whole new heating system, we'll agree with you where to put the radiators.
