Residents at a retirement housing scheme raised more than £300 to help disadvantaged kids celebrate this Christmas!
Tenants at our Edward Grant Court in Harpurhey donated cash, which was used to buy a mountain of toys for Key 103’s Cash for Kids campaign!
The toys, which included Peppa Pig, Lego, Barbie dolls and books, were handed over to Key 103 last Friday.
The campaign hopes to help children who are in poverty or have social problems and aims to give them a Christmas to remember!
One in three children live in severe poverty in Manchester, and those kids will wake up on Christmas Day without a present. Kind-hearted tenants all dipped into their own pockets to help out! Residents at Sir Robert Thomas Court also chipped in. Wendy Theaker, scheme manager at Edward Grant, said: “Our tenants went the extra mile this year to make sure that no-one goes without this Christmas.”
