Star performers: will we hit top marks?
We're aiming for a top rating from an intensive two-week inspection by the government's watchdog - the Audit Commission.
They look at how well we do things like: repairs, customer care, access to services, tenant involvement, the local environment, and providing services to diverse communities.
The Commission awards housing organisations no stars, one star, two stars or three stars - depending on how well they perform. Last time they checked us over, in Summer 2006, we got a 'good' two-star rating - with 'excellent prospects for improvement'.
Since then we've tackled the things they told us we needed to work on, and done much more besides. Working with local tenants we've improved our services in lots of areas.
Now it's inspection time again we hope we have fulfilled our 'excellent prospects', and are aiming for the top three-star rating!
Contact us if you want us to pass your comments on to the inspectors. They'll be keen to hear about what you think we do well and what we can do better.
The inspection lasts until Friday 28 November 2008.
