Do you want to join the most buzzing party in town this summer?

After we had such a blast last year, Northwards is joining forces with Eastlands Homes once again to take part in the Manchester Pride Parade 2010!

Fancy joining in the fun?

It's easy to take part, and to top it off, you'll even stand to win a great prize! We're after volunteers to join in the party on our fun bus and spend a little time handing out promotional freebies to the crowd. Everyone who volunteers will be entered into a fantastic prize draw! The Parade takes place on Saturday 28 August in Manchester city centre.

You don't have to be 'out' to join in!

Whether you're gay, straight, bisexual or trans it doesn't matter – everyone is welcome to get involved with Pride! This year, the theme for our float is ‘LGBT icons from down the decades’. Are you mad about Marilyn Monroe? Bonkers for Boy George? In awe of Abba? Then why not join us and dress up as your favourite icon?

Don't worry if fancy dress isn't you're thing though - it's not mandatory, all you need to take part is a strong desire to have a laugh!

Who's your LGBT Icon?

LGBT stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender. If there is a particular icon you think we should celebrate as part of our float, just drop us a line at news@northwardshousing.co.uk. We've got a growing list of ideas, covering everyone from Freddie Mercury to Tchaikovsky, so we'd love to hear your suggestions!
