Free Parenting Classes

We all know looking after teenagers can sometimes be a challenge - that's why Depaul UK are hosting a free parenting course for parents and carers of 13-19 year olds in Harpurhey.

From Thursday 7 January 2010 until March, the youth charity are holding this course at North City Library every Thursday from 10am - 1pm. The sessions aim to:

  • build parents' skills and techniques for dealing with challenging behaviour
  • help parents and children to communicate better with each other
  • help parents provide clear boundaries and positive discipline
  • help parents to help their child to get the most out of school
  • increase parents' self confidence
  • find out what the local community can offer parents
