Making Good Scheme

Illustration of people doing community service

Share ideas about improving your community while helping young offenders to 'give something back'.

Until 31 January 2010, the Making Good scheme is giving members of the public the opportunity to suggest punishments for offenders aged 10 to 17.

In the past, young offenders have been made to carry out a range of work from cleaning graffiti and repairing vandalism to working in libraries and charity work.

For the next two months, any public suggestions submitted through the Making Good website will be considered by the Youth Justice Board and implemented where possible by 19 youth offending teams across the North West. If the pilot is successful, the programme will be expanded across England and Wales.

For more information on the scheme, and to submit your own suggestions, just visit the Making Good website.
