They may not be quite in the Premiership big league, but Harpurhey United are looking forward to a bright new future after netting a great sponsorship deal with Northwards.

Teamwork: we're cheering for Harpurhey United's boys and girls in their
Northwards kit this season!
The club was formed in July 2008 when chairman Chris Manson saw a wonderful pride and passion in young local footballers. The club is now giving children a chance to make a name for themselves in the community and in football. They've already entered six teams into the leagues in this debut season. We've kitted them out in a brand new strip to help them play and win in style.
"We're delighted to sponsor Harpurhey United", says Northwards director Mike Stevens. "They're sending out a fantastic message to the community and to football fans across England with their team spirit and togetherness. We're behind the team 100%, and wish them the best of luck over the football season."
They have teams of different ages - girls and boys - and welcome keen new players regardless of race, religion, or ability. As the club develops, United want even more children from the local area to come along. They hope to set up teams in more age groups next season. Their biggest ambition is, as they grow, to build stronger relationships between local neighbourhoods.
So keep a look out - you can't miss the kids on local pitches in their eye-catching orange strip! Or find out more at the Harpurhey United website.
