The group of building companies we use to improve every Northwards home has won a top award at a ceremony celebrating housing excellence.
IMPACT Manchester was set up to take on the massive package of improvements to the city's council homes after they were transferred to new not-for-profit companies like Northwards.
Impact is governed by Northwards and other new housing companies: Parkway Green (running ex-council homes in Wythenshawe); Southway (in south Manchester); and Eastlands Homes (in east Manchester). So it's answerable to organisations that were specially set up to deliver better homes and estates to local people.
Impact was named "partnership scheme of the year" at the Housing Excellence 2008 ceremony on 14 May 2008. The award recognised the way the building contractors and new housing companies share knowledge and experience through Impact to give tenants the best possible service.
It's reward for their commitment to value-for-money, high quality and customer satisfaction; and for the employment and training opportunities Impact is bringing to local people.
We're delighted that Impact Manchester has been recognised and proud to be associated with all partners.
