Northwards is taking part in a government-led initiative against illegal sub-letting of council and housing association homes.
At a time when around 1.8 million households are on social housing waiting lists in England, illegal sub-letting is a real concern. Not only does it allow people to jump the queue for housing (which currently stands at around 18,000 households in Manchester) but it can lead to people living in homes which they don’t need.

Over the coming months, Northwards will be working with other housing providers across the city to find new ways of detecting and dealing with illegal sub-letting. If you think a Northwards property is being sub-let illegally, you can report it by clicking here. Please note that all the information you provide on the form will be treated with strict confidentiality and your details will not be revealed to anyone else.
