Star performers: will we hit top marks?
The government watchdog - the Audit Commission has finished its two week inspection of Northwards services.
They looked at how well we do things like: repairs, customer care, access to services, tenant involvement, the local environment, and providing services to diverse communities.
The Commission awards housing organisations no stars, one star, two stars or three stars - depending on how well they perform. Last time they checked us over, in Summer 2006, we got a 'good' two-star rating - with 'excellent prospects for improvement'.
Since then we've tackled the things they told us we needed to work on, and done much more besides. Working with local tenants we've improved our services in lots of areas.
The latest inspection finished on Friday 28 November; the feedback so far has been very positive.
So watch this space - the final results will be out in January 2009.
