Everyone wants a home that's warm and safe. But how can you be sure about yours?

Gas appliances that are left unchecked could be dangerous and leaking carbon monoxide, a highly poisonous gas.

You can’t see it, taste it or smell it, but it can quickly cause death as well as serious long term health problems such as brain damage.

As a Northwards tenant you get a free service and safety check of your gas appliances once every year. Our fully-qualified gas engineers will give your home the expert treatment to not just give you peace of mind, but to keep your heating bills down too.

At your convenience

Before we come to your area we'll write to you with some appointment times to choose from, including Wednesday evenings and Saturdays. Please make sure you reply to the letter, and that you're there to let us in. Your safety depends on it!

Always ask for identification before you let an engineer in. All our engineers carry a Gas Safe Register ID card, with their own unique licence number, showing the type of work they are qualified to do. Before any gas work is carried out, always make sure you ask to see their card and check the front and the back.

If someone doesn't let us in, we'll go to court to get permission to enter their home. They could face a £765 legal bill.
