Summer gardening competition for green-fingered residents

Get growing! Tenants at Dobson Court have nurtured this lovely garden.

Have you got green-fingers? Why not show off your skills in the 2008 Manchester gardening competition? There are lots of cash prizes on offer, with a top prize of £750. But hurry, entries close on Friday 11 July.

Judges are looking for colourful, innovative displays that make good use of space. You'll get extra points for environmental features like composters, rainwater collectors and wormeries.

Glittering ceremony

There are lots of categories - from best garden overall, to communal garden, tower block garden, young gardener, balcony, and many more!

Northwards tenants did us proud in last year's contest. We want to make an even better impact this time!

Judging is from mid-July until the end of August; and all winners are invited to a glittering awards ceremony at Manchester town hall.
