We've just been given the special 'Charter Mark' award for our customer service!
The people at 'Charter Mark' work with the government to set high standards for excellence in customer service; and they visit places like ours to see if we meet those standards.

They came to see us in April 2007 to see if we hit the mark with our service to you. It was a fairly in-depth visit, a bit like our inspection last year. They visited our local offices, spoke to residents and staff, and went through loads of our business information in great detail.
Charter Mark have now told us we passed with flying colours,
saying we are a friendly and open organisation with a bright image.
Our strong customer focus was another plus-point for them.
They also spotted a few areas of 'best practice' - things in our organisation that they think are particularly good and stand out from the rest. For example . .
Of course, we're really pleased with these results, but we know that there's always room to improve. We need to know if you are happy with our services - more important than any award. Remember, you have the power to help shape the Northwards service!
