Northwards Wardens

Who are we?

Your local team of wardens is dedicated to keeping your North Manchester neighbourhood a clean, safe and happy place to live.

What do our wardens do?

Our wardens are out and about, six days a week, from eight in the morning, ‘til ten at night. In their distinctive uniform, they patrol the streets - on foot, on scooters, by bike, or in their vans - keeping an eye on your neighbourhood. They sort out a whole range of local problems. Things like . . .

  • graffiti
  • dog mess
  • litter and dumped rubbish
  • faulty street lights
  • broken pavements.

They work with the police to help cut down crime and disorder. They can also advise you about home safety and security, and take action against . . .

  • vandalism
  • anti-social behaviour
  • unruly youths
  • bogus callers.
Where do they cover?

Our teams cover four areas, including the Miles Platting and Collyhurst areas that are still managed by Manchester City Council.
