Fences and hedges

We do not have a legal responsibility to repair your hedge or fence. But we may do the work depending on certain circumstances, and we have a priority system for deciding who can get work done . Due to the need for Northwards to make budget cuts, we have suspended that priority system and are currently only doing work to fencing, hedges and gates where this is part of an agreed action plan in an anti-social behaviour case.

In other circumstances we will expect people to do and pay for the work themselves. Please contact us for more information about the current restrictions on this kind of work.

We will let you know whether or not the work you want can be done, and if so, when it will be done. If it can't be done we will tell you why.
