Water Meters are supplied and installed free of charge by United Utilities and could save you money on your bills.
There is also the chance however, that they could lead to you spending more than you need to, so here is some guidance to help figure out if a water meter would benefit your household or not.

Unfortunately Northwards can not apply for this installation (unless in exceptional circumstances) and it must be done directly with United Utilities. We can, however, help assess if a water meter would be beneficial to you or not.
You can apply for a water meter using the water meter application pack or by telephoning 0845 303 7744
United Utilities will carry out a survey to establish where a meter can be fitted. If a water meter is installed, accurate bills will be given based on actual water usage instead of estimated readings.
Charges based on meter readings are paid on demand, usually half yearly for household consumers.
