(Our Urban Crew, visiting Longley Lane Recycling Centre)

We helped take 140 children from across north Manchester to visit Longley Lane Recycling Centre to see how it all works and learn how they can help save the planet.

The kids are members of the Urban Crew - our joint project with Manchester Communication Academy - which helps local primary school pupils become aware of the positive role they can play in their school and community.

The youngsters learnt loads and were particularly fascinated by the 'Aladdin Machine', which separates clear and coloured plastic bottles using a beam of light and a jet of air!
