In the last six months, we’ve spent nearly £16million improving homes.

These improvements included:

  • re-roofing almost 400 properties
  • fitting 270 energy-saving boilers
  • installing 78 air-source heating systems - a clever new way to save energy

We also finished our transformation of all four multi-storey blocks in Collyhurst - fitting things like new windows, balconies, entrances, insulation and solar panels.

We’ve been revamping out-of-use basement flats in Dam Head too, creating 12 new one-bed homes.

And on Moxley Road in Crumpsall, we’ve completely transformed 13 one-and-two-bed flats that the Council took over in 2015.

What’s ahead this year?

We’re re-roofing more homes where needed and replacing old boilers that aren’t energy-efficient. Our other plans so far include big improvements at Clifford Lamb Court (such as new windows and insulation) and also renewing the windows at Kentmere Court in Charlestown.

We’ll keep you informed as more improvements are announced.
