Some companies are pressuring council tenants to buy their home.

Most Northwards tenants can ask to buy their home from the council - this is called the right to buy.

However, we are aware that some companies are contacting tenants and encouraging them to apply to buy their home. These companies are then offering them a mortgage and home insurance at a rate that can be far more expensive than others available from banks or building societies.
