A time capsule to celebrate new Northwards homes

September 13 2018 | Articles | News

A time capsule filled with mementos from local groups and schools has been buried to celebrate a project to create 40 new homes.

We'll be managing the properties, which are being built by Willmott Dixon across six sites in north Manchester. They are the first council homes to be built in the city for five years

The time capsule, which has been filled with items by local groups and schools, has been buried in the community garden next to Tarvington Close in Collyhurst, where the capsule will be placed for 50 years before being dug up by future generations.

The capsule includes pictures of north Manchester over the last decade, newspaper cuttings and magazine clippings celebrating the success of local people.
