Following the expansion and reorganisation of the Design & Delivery Team, we have an exciting opportunity for a Fire Safety Manager to come and join our Property Services team based at our Hendham Vale Office.
With an ability to work at both an operational and strategic level, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of fire safety management. Your primary role will be to ensure that all Northwards stock is compliant with fire safety legislation, building regulations and current good practice within the industry. With a proven track record in project management, you will ensure the delivery of fire risk assessments, implementing fire safety work programmes and driving policy development.
In a role that cuts right across the organisation, you will need to quickly establish key working relationships with neighbourhood, repairs and maintenance teams as well as guiding design and delivery capital programmes and liaising with external partners, contractors and consultants. You will manage the fire risk assessment programmes, ensuring robust monitoring and compliance systems are in place, highlighting any possible risks to the organisation.
The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate current knowledge of building and construction legislation and recent fire safety experience, preferably within the social housing sector. The ideal individual must be a natural self-starter, possess a keen eye for detail and demonstrate that they are an exceptional communicator, at all levels.
