The yes project aims to

• Equip tenants with the skills they need to access local jobs

• Get tenants back into the labour market

• Ensure that local jobs go to local people

As the Employability Support Advisor, you will be working with customers to identify their needs and arrange appropriate support, whether it is using your own knowledge and experience or from utilising statutory partners and relevant organisations in the community. You will have responsibility for the management and development of the Employability Support Coordinator, along with general management of the office, including ensuring all maintenance and health & safety considerations are carried out.

You will, along with partner agencies, provide the required interventions, whether that be motivation, confidence, direction, IT support, budgeting advice, assistance with benefit enquiries and other such issues.

You will have strong IT skills, you will support customers to complete online forms, register new benefit claims, set up email accounts, register Government Gateway accounts, upload CV’s and cover letters, register online with agencies and job sites, print off directions and other forms, photocopy and scan documents, plus other duties as required.

With an extensive knowledge of the local job market, you will advertise employment, volunteering and training opportunities to clients at the centre utilising a range of techniques.
