Additional Vacancy Information
We’ve recently reorganised our Design & Delivery proposition and have a new and exciting opportunity for an Assistant Head of Design & Delivery who will be fully committed to supporting the delivery of on-time, on-budget, customer-focussed services to our stakeholders and residents.
Our sector faces many challenges over the next few years and, working alongside other members of the Design & Delivery Leadership Team, you’ll help frame and create the strategic direction and lead in the implementation of projects that are clearly integrated and aligned to corporate objectives.
Leading a large team of around 36 staff, your primary role will be the operational delivery of service plans and organisational priorities to ensure successful implementation of the Capital Programme. You’ll operate effective performance management systems, ensure good practice is adhered to and maximise performance of the team. You will need a proven record and experience in managing budget (£xm), changing priorities and delivering risk management strategies.
To do this, you will be driven and tenacious, a confident people manager who can coach and mentor others, and you will have a strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand risk and exploit opportunities.
It is a given that you will come to us with excellent credentials, technical knowledge and experience. We want an individual that can demonstrate a passion for driving standards and values that reflect those of the business. With an open approach to your role, you must be able to build effective and honest relationships and you’ll communicate in a way that inspires and motivate those around you. A strong project manager, you will balance objectives, take on decisions that safeguard project integrity and deliver high-quality outcomes.
