These post supports an already established and valued service which offers a wide range of activities and services to our residents and to Northwards Housing.
The work can involve a variety of environmental based work to our gardens, green spaces and other open spaces across our management area. This can also include the cleaning of communal areas and supporting our caretaking team. The roles ensure that we will provide a high quality, responsive and community focused service, aiming to improve the local environment for residents and the communities in the north of Manchester.
As a conscientious, reliable and self-motivated person, you will have experience of working within a team as well as an understanding of health and safety issues and assessing risks. You will be required to work with minimal supervision, ensuring high work standards are maintained and that personal and customer safety is upheld at all times.
Good communication skills and the ability to confidently interact with residents is an important element of this post and applicants must project a professional image of the organisation at all times. The role involves a high degree of walking and manual handling, e.g. bending and lifting, and therefore a good level of physical fitness is required. You are also required to work outdoors throughout the year at various locations across the Northwards area.
A full UK driving license is essential as you are required to drive the company vehicle (Transit Tipper type). Any points held on your licence must be disclosed.
